First visit - assessment

An important part for rehabilitation is the right assessment of the problem and the design of the therapeutic course.
Patients often come with a diagnosis from the physician, along with some guidelines, however the details of the treatment that will affect the outcome, usually derive from a proper assessment.

So, the first appointments is not time limited: The patients tells his story with all the details that he/she feels are important for their problem (patients know their problem better than anyone, so their description is of great importance!), then the area of the problem is assessed, as well as all of the body as a unit, and after all the data of the assessment is collected and taken in to account, the goals of the treatment are discussed and a time frame is designed.
